Once in the water - you can swim anywhere....the beach of white pebbles is not quite as nice to lie on as home beaches but combined with the colour of the water - it's really pretty. I should also mention that we were in Nice during The Assumption of Mary, a national holiday in France. We joined thousands of locals and tourists for fireworks down at the beach. Even with the rocks digging into our butts, I think it was one of the best fireworks displays I have seen and it felt really special to be included in the celebration. One of my favorite experiences so ...

... time to stick my toes in the water. Dad had talked about how amazing the water is and that I had to give it a go so off I went down to the rocky shore. Well turns out I don't care how amazing the water is because it was much too cold and because if the surface you can't easily run out!! The reports I had from Nicole and her mum Deb had me expecting to see nudes everywhere! Men included but as it was a Saturday I'm thinking they must put some clothes on for the ...
