    ... and gardens similar to what she had known in our childhood in Florence. The gardens cover about 56 acres and the palace is beautiful. Also situated on the grounds is the smaller of the two replicas located in Paris, of the Statue of Liberty. Being from Liberty, KY, we had to find it and make a picture.

    ... New Zealand's population. After the catacombs we took the train to Notré Dame Cathedral were we explored the interior and exterior. Again we had to cue but only for 30 minutes this time. It was on the exterior that we found the headless saint we had heard about on the walking tour the previous day. From the Cathedral we took yet another train out to the Eiffel Tower.     ... the third floor, with a lift. Windows open up to show the little Montmartre street below where the cafes and bars are. The kitchen is tiny, but pretty. There's a bath, yay! And Freebox which will give me free landline phone access so I can call Karen every day and can call home to let them know what's happening - and Al Jazeera news for when I feel a need to hear anyone speaking English! Now to get reacquainted with Paris and hopefully enjoy it a lot more than I did last time.
