... br> We flew back to Bordeaux in the morning. After resting for a day we headed north in the morning. We found a little town with a castle and a few different things to see. We walked into town and found a tourist office. They could speak very little English, told us they had no maps and gave us an information sheet all in French. The town was small and quaint. Lovely old buildings but not much to see. As we ...

Doris will ...

Still in France we head to the Loire valley to the castle of Chenonceau the home of Diane de Poitiers (tragic mistress of Henri ll) and later of his vengeful wife Catherine of Medici. The Castle had wonderful gardens and a large maze to get lost in. We continue on the coach and cross ...

... ways like Turi woods but I do like hazel and chestnut trees for a change. Then there's always the chance here of seeing a snake - which I did! And the slugs are so pretty. I guess they're an alternative starter to snails but not sure I'll be trying them. It's a bit difficult taking pics at arm's length and getting much of interest in, so I've done what you would see if someone was taking it with me in it,only I'm not. If ...
