Another day, another move. We packed up our barely unpacked bags and flung them in the boot of the car. Yesterday, the GPS had given us cause for concern when the battery ran low and failed to charge. Just when we thought it was best to go back to the hire place to sort it out before they closed at midday, it fell into line and behaved as it was …
... of walking out the door. Gage and I found a little park near our house to play soccer but it's quite small.
Also, if we get home too late at night, we have to drive around to find a parking spot! I don't miss those days!
But, city living also means lots of bus travel, access to butchers and bakeries within walking distance, and the opportunity to see people very different from ourselves.
... smoking is on the rise among the young in france. the idea of consumer socialization does not seem to be part of the public service campaign. at the bus stop the other day, gage and i watched a 14 year old girl light up a cigarette and then feed it to a 10 year old boy. there was a teacher from the school there but he did not say a word. i, however, ...
Gage made a friend named Damien. On Sunday, we went with his family to Les Faux de Verzy in Verzy France. So, it sounds like the perfect committee for me!
Haven is really struggling with her french classes. it would be like ...
How has this hotel rated in the past?
When I booked this hotel, I expected standard fare so was delighted to find it more plush than expected and phenomenally friendly and helpful service from Esther at the front desk. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcome.
Our room was bigger and better than expected with an additional sitting room. The toilet (separate to the somewhat dated bathroom) was a bit of a squeeze but everything was clean and the beds were comfy.
Service the next day wasn't so great but Esther had been so great the day before, it made up for it.
The parking station directly across the road from the hotel was very handy if you're arriving by car. Overnight rates were very reasonable.
