Another day, another move. We packed up our barely unpacked bags and flung them in the boot of the car. Yesterday, the GPS had given us cause for concern when the battery ran low and failed to charge. Just when we thought it was best to go back to the hire place to sort it out before they closed at midday, it fell into line and behaved as it was …
Day 10 was fun We got up and got ready to go to Paris, we got in the car and drove to Paris, the drive was fun because the landscape was beautiful. We got morning tea at the bp on the motor way and I had I cheese, ham, tomato and bread and it was yum. We got to Paris and went to our hotel and put a bags in the bags room because our rooms weren't done so we went off and gave back the "found ...
First up today we went for a walk to the HUGE cathedral in Reims which was amazing. Later we drove to Epernay where they have the huge wine cellars/ caves. Today we set off exploring Champagne. We started off in Reims sightseeing and doind a spot of shopping before heading to Pommery. Surprisingly they were really ...
... cute little village called Pevy, where we had booked a farmhouse for our 2 night stay. Our hosts, Agnes & Michele, spoke little English but were very lovely & helpful - they even gave us a bottle of their own champagne, called 'Dessaint-Fauvet' as a welcome gift! It was divine! I found ...

When I booked this hotel, I expected standard fare so was delighted to find it more plush than expected and phenomenally friendly and helpful service from Esther at the front desk. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcome.
Our room was bigger and better than expected with an additional sitting room. The toilet (separate to the somewhat dated bathroom) was a bit of a squeeze but everything was clean and the beds were comfy.
Service the next day wasn't so great but Esther had been so great the day before, it made up for it.
The parking station directly across the road from the hotel was very handy if you're arriving by car. Overnight rates were very reasonable.
