... others paced the road. They had on various states of dress. All very interesting. Our final destination is a delightful camp ground on the beach. The temperatures have dropped as have the prices of the campgrounds. From 30 to 40 Euros a night to 16! Good for us. The campgrounds are emptying out as the Italians go back to work and they tourists start to head back home. We might have it all to ourselves soon. Yeah ...
Boiled the kettle (aka saucepan) for our first cup of tea. It's cold!! The rain only got heavier, so we decided to give the ride a miss and go for a Wienerschnitzel instead! We had a platter of cheese, speck, crackers, carrots and apple for dinner, followed by our local Dolomites yoghurt. It's cold tonight!! Almost need to invest in a hot water ...

After a quick rapid volley of Italian we hear "Oh, Cahleefornia!!!!", then we are greeted with handshakes and vibrant smiles. Also in the square is Novello Michetti, second cousin to Lisa's Mom. Smiles and handshakes again as Rita helps to translate. Last stop: the Zippili ...
