    Tom's cousins Ron and Meike (and partner Sander) and their kids came for lunch. The kids all played together and swam in the canal that goes past uncle Piet's house.     ... Amsterdam waiting for it to go to Alkmar, something didn't feel right, as we were the only ones in the carriage. Fortunately, the lady we first spoke to came and told us that the train was not going to Alkmar. She then kindly helped us to find the right train.

    Once he came down the canal, we tried to listen to his speech/get a good picture of him. Since we don't speak Dutch, the listening was a wash.
