After Palermo I went east across Sicily via bus to Catania, a city at the base of Mt Etna, the largest volcano in Europe, and still frequently active (as it is tonight!! Exciting!!!).
The bus trip from Palermo to Catania was pure madness. The chain smoking driver was either pulling over every two seconds for a durry, or, alternatively, swerving oncoming traffic ...
... an espresso and a torte in the piazza and basked in the sun for a good while. Up to this point I had done quiet a bit. I went to a castle (toured that for a solid hour +); went to at least 5 churches; 3 different street markets; went to all the near piazza's, peering into shops; and now I was enjoying the weather. It's only 11 am and I'm already worn.
