The prettiest town I've ever stayed in.

... 1 hour later and about 30 elderly people appeared out of nowhere. It was modern, large, air-conditioned (still rather rare on Czech Rail) single carriage train. But after a short 35 minutes we get to Telc, I can tell you it was worth the trip.

There are two parts to the town, the old town (11-12th century) and the (marginally newer 15th century) town square and castle where we are staying. Telc is set amongst a series of lakes or ponds ...

... a well. Dan says it was delicious. Trebic is our overnight stop. We are staying in a UNESCO protected Jewish Quarter which dates from the 1300s. Christians and Jews lived together in Trebic until 1727 when the ruler ordered that the Jews build a separate settlement in the space between the river and the cliff face. There was a vibrant Jewish community until the Nazis deported the entire population to Auschwitz. After the war, 10 Jews returned. The community ...

After staying the night not too far from Trebic's town centre, we decided to walked in to take a closer look. Roamed through the main street before heading up a nearby hill overlooking the town. Found a park bench with great views and lazed in the afternoon sun. Before night fall we drove a little further North, and by luck watched an amazing sunset. Pulled up in a rest stop for the night, hoping the clear skies remain and the weather is just as good ...

    Loved it

I absolutely loved staying at the Grand Hotel. It was not too crowded but had a lovely atmosphere. The food served was very nice and the rooms were also really neat and tidy. I only had a few things I would critique such as the being denied being able to rent out things like umberellas when it clearly stated in a leaflet in my room that I could do so. Other than that , I really enjoyed the stay and if I were to visit Trebíc again (Which I hope to do) i'd definately stay here!
