I absolutely loved staying at the Grand Hotel. It was not too crowded but had a lovely atmosphere. The food served was very nice and the rooms were also really neat and tidy. I only had a few things I would critique such as the being denied being able to rent out things like umberellas when it clearly stated in a leaflet in my room that I could do so. Other than that , I really enjoyed the stay and if I were to visit Trebíc again (Which I hope to do) i'd definately stay here!

Final day in Brno. At last got to see inside Low Beer Villa (yes that was the owners name) and garden tour of Villa Tougendhat.Interesting how your perception changes when you go inside the house. It's beauty from the exterior is magnified. What is that? It was built for wealthy industrialist at the beginning of 20th century. Villa Tougendhat was built by his son in law at the other end ...
... one conquered the fort or escaped from it. Had a well 118 metres deep.A recent clean out found a skeleton with a perfect set of teeth. Our night was filled by the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra. First half headed by percussion with the lead Ekki Sven Tuur playing at least 15 different instruments. Then some unseasonal Stravinsky. Amazing skill and teamwork. Retired to Iva's for Beckerovca and research till ...

The good news was another interesting coffee shop roasting coffee from around the world but not PNG.and Fab fast food at the bus station was a bonus. They really know how to do bread in Eastern Europe. At Brno, still raining and no cabs. No map. No tickets. But finally got to digs for next 4 days - only 2 blocks from ...
... didn't rise, then, just as bike dismantling was about done, pitter patter of rain started and a mad rush to get stuff packed in the boot. The nice dry awning is now wet again and we're hoping the rain stops overnight to dry it out. Another 30 mins or so and everything would have been packed away nice and dry. 8.30 pm and it's still raining steadily..... We have also had a power cut this evening and did consider cooking the dinner on Gill's red, hot swollen ...
... of the facilities which are spotless. The site is very peaceful and we can sit outside the van and look at the swans on the lake through the bull rushes as the sun sets. The birds are singing and the butterflies and dragonflies are darting around. There are a few annoying wasps and flies but we now have the, Tony constructed out of a bottle, fly catcher in place. The bike is being built ready for tomorrow's ride to ...
