... hedges 12 feet high so no ad hoc conversations in many different versions of the same language with the neighbours. Whilst it looks very well kept a severe cutback would be better although I suspect they are the height they are to protect from the sun in summer, talking about the sun the forecast is clear blue skies which we have, and 24 degrees, currently 18 with the sun coming over the hills.

We were up, packed up and ready to leave by 8.30 this morning!!! No alarm was necessary as the dutchy caravan and family behind us decided to start packing up and left by 7.30!! We saw a sign for a chateau and decided to drop in. It was the village of Vezins de Levezou. The chateau was private but the village was delightful. There are moss covered trees and rock walls and almost nobody about. We stopped in at the cafe and sat outside to enjoy the quietest coffee of our holiday. After a long and tiring journey we arrived at our campsite. Weather is lovely so went for an uphill walk in the evening. Just enjoying a beer in the bar now. Day by the pool tomorrow me thinks. Did a little reading by the van after breakfast and then dozed off. After lunch went and had a dip in the pool. After some much needed sunbathing we decided to have a game of tennis - Sue cheated of course! Sat in the shade now with cool beer ...
... that day went up to a volcano lake called Lake Pavin. The roads were twisty and windy and mum wouldn't have liked it! We walked up steep stairs all around the village , found old ruins and a church , a market the day we left. Weather was fine but still a little cold . We then travelled on to Valliguiere .
