With time rapidly dwindling I went down to Banbury way this afternoon to visit my brother et famille before I leave, taking the opportunity to say goobye to two young nephews - one of whom was able to appreciate some of the implications of what I am doing, "But what if you get sick?" he asked. :-)
Back up to Stoke in the late evening. Last day of preparations tomorrow.
... alone, offered to pick me up from Stratford and he tagged along. In exchange I gave them a free tour of Startford (and helped them find a free car spot - outside my old place.) The conference has largely been boring (as these things are) but that's because I don't work in this industry. It has been nice to catch up with some old friends. My presentation ...
Kenilworth, United Kingdom gayleyAfter our hike through the Port Meadow, we went to Formal Hall at Merton. Meghan's friends Ruth and Jake gave us a tour of the college grounds; we saw the Chapel, the Fellows Garden, a quad for Bodley (who built the library for all of Oxford), and the MCR. Merton is really beautiful and its gardens are quite nice. At Hall (to which you bring your own wine), everyone stands ...

Brad called & woke me up at 6.30 am... looked outside and there was snow on the cars and rooves.... so pretty. Today was 3 degrees but minus 3 with the wind chill. ... another pretty little Cotswold village with a stream, pub and a trout farm. We had a map with directions and they were very bad directions, because we got lost from box 1 and ended up doing the walk back to front and totally wrong sections. It snowed the whole time and was wet snow so after a couple of ...

It was owned until 1978 by the Earls of Warwick and then bought the Tussaud Group. We walked over the drawbridge and explored first in the towers of the Gatehouse and Barbican. They had 2 port cullis to lower to keep people out and if they trapped people ...

Stratford-upon-Avon, England, United Kingdom hilaryramsey... Mews. They have a lovely one bedroom upstairs apartment. Nathan and I sleep on a blow-up bed behind the map divider in the lounge. The map divider is great – wallpaper of the map of the world. Makes you want to explore the world. Had a dinner of Roast Chicken and veggies – all premade and just heated up. So yummy! In bed asleep by 8 pm UK time – 12 midnight Dubai time.
