    ... into the mountain via two tunnels one 11.5k and 5.5k no sign of the mountain king or trolls. Very few English people but have met a lovely French couple ( we speak 3 words of French and they 3 words of English but we have lots of laughs together. Tomorrow at sea. Both Norwegian excursions have given us a broader knowledge of this tiny (5,0000 people) but wealthy (oil and salmon) ...

    ... called Lillehavn at the tip of the Lindesnes peninsula. If we did this and if the wind slackened tomorrow and fell to a Force 5 or less, we could then round the headland and make our way further westwards and winds seemed to be lighter for the coming two days before they pick up again on Sunday. With luck we might then be as far west as Tananger, which is only 6 km from Stavanger (by land) so that we would be in place ...

    ... was that his phone had a lot of our photos which hadn't yet been backed up! It also meant too that as we were on such a tight cycling schedule, the following morning would be spent chasing up police reports etc for insurance. I think it was the straw that broke the camel's back for me, the anxiety of completing the difficult terrain in time(especially for Hannah) and the comforts we were missing with extended camping, all just became a bit too much!

    ... were on the brygge at Flekkefjord, along with another 8 or 10 vans. The authorities actually provide electrical plug-in facilities, and an honour system of payment of Nk50 ($10) which you can pay either at the Tourist Information Office (if/when it opens) or there is a parking inspector who will also take your money after 9ish.
