... helpful and friendly. We did consider booking into a hotel room for a couple of nights but it was quite pricey and we figured that if we all crammed into a hotel room with no air conditioning (air conditioning not normally needed in Norway), when we were all grumpy and tired- we might kill each other! So we opted for a nice grassy campsite and hung out in the hotel foyer most of our stay!

I don't always cope well with rest days, even though I often yearn for them! We're ...

... 100kg and carrying panniers full of rubbish isn't good for the bike apparently and the bike rewarded me with a broken spoke. There we were broken bike stuck in the middle of nowhere. Again luck was on our side and the consistent Norwegian generosity (which seems to be a major theme of this trip) saved is again. I have a nasty feeling this may be a sign of things to come ...

... out of several fjords, little fishing villages and around little perched lakes. So beautiful, even in drizzling rain, with towering rocky cliffs bordering the roads. We camped at the Bobil Camp at Farsund, beautiful fishing village on a fiord leading to the coast. If "Bobil" means "Motorhome" then we now drive a Bobil, not a Boomer! Or maybe a Bobil Boomer! Chatted to an elderly Norwegian couple who came to spy out the campers, whose grandson is studying in ...

Hiking to the beach, was fun and easy. And bringing kids on this one night camping adventure was a blast.
I can recommend this trip for families as well as a trip alone to enjoy the peace. We had the beach all to our self, and there is several small beach along the hiking route.
