    ... my class at the gym while this was happening.

    Tim and I were in charge of the cupcake walk for the fair. Finding all the ingredients for the icing and the decorations was challenging – not a lot of bakers here. Friday was icing day, and 8 mothers came in and decorated nearly 200 cupcakes - they looked wonderful. I can’t believe I didn’t get a picture of them! The next question was how to keep them ...

    ... our smart phones, a first, and found each other. He said it was a beautiful run, mostly along the river. After a shower and a rest, we packed up and had a smooth trip back home. Tim has a few nasty blisters and a black toe nail to content with, as well as the 500 stairs at school he climbs each day.

    Happy American Thanksgiving to our American friends. And just a month till Christmas – the countdown is on!

    ... We went to an Italian restaurant for supper & had a delicious lasagna – we rarely eat meat so it was very tasty. Thursday, we brought peanut butter sandwiches for lunch, but one of our students arrived with a big bag of food for each of us – sushi, a Starbuck’s drink and a bag of cookies. When we asked her why, she said her mother had sent the bags because it was her younger sister’s birthday!

    ... in the day. It was our first rainy day – we’ve had short downpours and thunder and lightning storms, but this was a steady rain well into the afternoon. And it complicates the life of a pedestrian.
