    ... was the scheduled end of the tour and we didn't make everyone leave!).

    After a quiet afternoon of browsing downtown Jakarta and chilling at the hotel (our lack of sleep catching up by this point), we had a wander around the supposedly traveller friendly area of Jalan Jaksa. Sadly, there was nothing of note happening at all so we scratched the idea of spending some quality time with other westerners there and headed home...

    ... to the airport, easy to find but you might need to ask a few people. The bus had a fixed rate of 35k IDR. It only took one hour to get to my terminal. My journey was really easy. Air Asia didn't weigh or check my hand luggage which was perfect. I personally didn't enjoy my time in Jakarta just due to the high paced lifestyle and traffic and if recommending I would only suggest one day in central Jakarta

    ... t really hit us yet but we both know that we're going to miss each other tons until we are each other again in September :( I had loooooads of time before my flight was leaving so sat in a cafe and got some food and a lovely iced frappe.     ... missed our lunch, we headed straight for the restaurant outside the terminal. This was delicious but a total rip off, coming in at 92,000! We went through security and on to the check-in desk where we queued for more than half an hour. Baggage drop didn't seem to be using the conveyor belt and instead piled up the bags, thus causing the hold up. The baggage scales were also shared between two check-in desks.
