6.30pm and time to jump on the train to Surat Thani from Bangkok. Train station is a rather busy place with a huge floor in the middle full of people sitting and waiting for their train. Train itself while not fantastic was also possibly not the worst train ever. For a start we had a group of cubicles shared between two of us, later on the seats got folded into a bed and then the wall also folds down ...

Kolejna jadłodajnia przy drodze, za plecami po ścianach biegają nam jaszczurki, ale jedzenie obfite i tak smaczne (jeszcze musimy znaleźć tu niesmaczną kuchnię), że decydujemy się na deser w postaci zapiekanych bananów.

Mike i ja zwijamy się wcześniej do łóżka, bo zmęczenie całonocną podróżą i słońcem na plaży daje nam się we znaki…

... window of opportunity to get the required drilling done before it went back to England.

We then had dinner in the hotel, not that amazing and headed out to the Sky Bar. We quickly got turned away from the Sky Bar for not being 'smartly dressed' apparently shorts just wouldn't cut it. We then headed back to the Pak Pong area and took in all the sites. Eventually we settled into a bar and spent the rest of the night there.

Leaving the temple I ended up on a pier which had lots of boats coming in with their catch and a whole group of people sorting fish into baskets which was great to watch. I was pleased that they weren’t camera shy and in fact welcomed me to watch and take some photos which was kind of them, they’re always characters ...
