... as I am sure everyone who has explore SE Asia knows very well.
In the boat, bedrooms were composed of two floors with two rows of 50 mattresses. Each floor has about 1 m of head room so crawling to our bed is the best option. The two inch mattresses that served as beds were approximately 6 feel long and between 1.5 and 2 feet wide. Tight and cozy and warlike for sure. ... our translator, Atom, was a cute woman with so much enthusiasm and smiles it was very difficult not to be happy while around her. Such a wonderful woman that both me and thomas hope to stay in contact with. I could spend all night talk about the amzing kindness of both Mr Bird (the manager) and his wonderful staff, but i still dont think i could do them justice. Surratthani isnt the most 'touristy' areas. But that is part of its charm, with some really cool people. ...

... Thai reputation for weird and wacky also made an appearance with salted cockroach (blegh) for sale. Without a mass of options for dinner I settled for the thai version of fresh spring roll, it was pretty much on par with Malaysia's version with sauce instead served on the side, more salad and crunchy bits inside. Phuket Town in itself seems to be more of a location people use as a stopover to some of those pristine beaches Thailand yields as well as picturesque islands ...
