... with your parents until you get married, and after that maybe move in with your in-laws. As HK is so small, this isn't exactly a big step because it's not likely you'll ever be more than an hours journey away from your own family anyway.

So that's a bit about how home life goes in Hong Kong. Obviously it doesn't apply to everyone here, but it does do a lot to explain why so many of my little four year olds say they go to sleep at 11 p.m.

... Bubba Gump restaurant after that we went on a tram ride down the mountain. We then drove back to the hotel. and got ready to go to Jasmyn's dancing concert. ... there's lots of people in Thailand from Myanmar working their asses off, and people from Cambodia begging a lot. The Vietnamese and Laotians don't come over so much. ... found out we should have been given tickets for the sampan. We went up the tram and then by escalators to the very top. This takes you to the highest point in Hong Kong and view is spectacular. There is audio to give info too. There are many shops and restaurants here but we avoided them. We went back down the tram to catch the green bus but the last one had gone so we had to go back on the red bus again. We complained about having to pay for sampan but then ...
