In the provinces families and children who are homeless or in poverty walk along the street singing and hope for a tip (they don't ask foreigners, only other locals). On one morning I had a severe homesickness couldn't stop cried sitting on the table and couldn't eat my lunch because I wasn't hungry also rice I was pretty sick of it but I didn't tell; wouldn't like to offended host aunty who cooked so she asked Lucilo to take me out with alongside other volunteers to distracted me. ... on a public bus to Oslob for a chance to swim with Whale Sharks ! The bus journey took 3 and a half hours but it was comfortable and had air con so could not complain as we have suffered far worse. ... Philippino people who were travelling for a few days. They told me that if the ferry was going to go to the "other dock" we could share their ride to get there. So, when we heard where the boat was coming to, we hopped in "their" truck and were transported across the island (again) to the "broken" dock, which incidentally was only five minutes from our hotel!!
