... I arrived at the Irish bar around 9 pm. I talked to an older Aussie guy from Brisbane who was working in South Korea and had arrived a couple of days ago in Cebu. He was happy but tired. The previous night he found a bar with 12 (professional) girls and no men. I bought a couple of them a drink, he said, but I didn't want to buy them all a drink cause it would cost too much. Later some South Korean men arrived. The girls stayed with me, he said, smiling. I waved to ...

... believe that little bit of luck. These five young people were great - really looked after us. Long story short, the ferry arrived on time and actually left only 1/2 hour late. When we were getting ready to board the ferry, one of the young men from the group of five approached a mini bus driver (who was putting his bus on the boat) and asked if we could have seats on his bus when we arrived in Danao. ... It is empty apart from one sleeping man and us. As the film begins, more people come in and most of them also seem to go to sleep. Its very strange, we think people buy a ticket just to have somewhere cool to nap in the afternoon!? People are still entering 30 mins before the movie ends, but we don't mind as it has made passing three hours very enjoyable and cheap. Back in the light we find (more) food before ambling back to the port. 10 hours wasted. No problem.

We get ...

Good luck and bad luck

... I guessed they wouldn’t even dare! I think this is at least one point for bad luck so the score is 6-3 in favour of good luck.

The flight was about 3 hours and no bother at all - apart from the fact that they don’t serve food so rowan had a bit of banana cake for dinner (at least there was fruit in the cake!). The cabin crew wear shorts and t-shirts which was quite a novelty for us. I think Rowan has become a bit to used to fancy flying, since ...
