... too hot. You will see the crowd partying, splashing water and paint to crowd. The street was crazy! I would want to repeat it again -- except the difficult of walking through the crowd. I know thats part of a huge festival. And experiencing Sinulog again would require same crowd bumping, walking, and all, I would still do it!

Will surely be back to Cebu! Sinulog is really one of the big festivals in the Philippines! Pit Senyor!

Many of them sniff glue to reduce the feeling of hunger. And it is heartbreaking to see how many have to spend the night on the street. In the evening you feel sorry for those sleeping on ...

... and steel gates, though some were open with kids playing around a bit. In the evening we went out by M's car to one of the local shopping malls for dessert at a frozen yoghurt bar. Traffic is certainly challenging...the usual pattern of developing countries where the rules of the road are basically who can stick their nose ahead of the next car when claiming a lane or attempting a turn, and pedestrians are lowest on the food chain. The morning, being a Sunday, ...

The First Hours of Typhoon Yolanda

... and ran downstairs to store them some place safe. Our first thought, the refrigerator which we had set on top of a table in case of flooding the night before.

We all ran upstairs to collect more of our important items we thought would be safe from the expected flooding on our second floor, which were instead being damaged by our failing roof. When Sebastian entered his room we realized the roof was going, half of his roof was gone and the ...
