... awe of how varied the creatures of the world are. The snorkeling was fantastic, even on a cloudy afternoon right before rain set in. And the Turtle Farm on the island was really cool and would be a fantastic day for families. <br><br>When it came right down to it, I didn't feel led to stay there and truth be told, I had rock fever after three days and needed to set my feet on the mainland. So, for me, Cayman is a vacation do and a place to set down roots not.<br>

... though there is a picturesque main square with some very good statues (especially the women's aspiration one) and an old rather charming clock tower at one end. Otherwise nothing much to see, nice beaches and lots of expensive jewellery for sale. Not my favorite place on the cruise.

... on earth where the sea animals can be petted, conch shells removed & fish fed by hand. At least we were warned not to step on the coral. This is also one of the last places to have the large elkhorn coral. I saw some other species I've never seen before & it all looks very healthy. Must be all that squid food. Enroute now to San Blas, Panama. p.s. I am bringing 2 of the conch shells home.

... got back to shore, we learned that another diver in the group inadvertently emptied his air tank, so they had to cut their dive short, too. After the dive, we figured out that Emily got stung on the ankle by some kind of sea critter. It burned a bit, but nothing too bad. ... the boat, I sat next to this guy - huge, absolutely blinged-out (I'm pretty sure he had a grill, and also had a HUGE diamond and gold ring made into a dollar sign) singing songs. And not just any songs. Britney Spears. But not just any old Britney Spears songs. Ballads. Yup. Best thing ever. ... him. I was just hoping he wasn't planning on doing it right then. As it was, the van's floor was rusting out to the point that I was afraid my leg was going to go right through it. I wanted to tell the driver to take us to Hell instead of heaven because it was a much shorter drive. Oh well, maybe some other time.

... with it like that. Luckily the neighbours had room for us on a futon bed and we spent the night with them. Just as the house is settling and everyone is drifting off to sleep we hear a terrific wet crashing sound. You'll remember the back bedroom window coming in ? Well the water blew in for so long up and across the ceiling that it saturated it and eventually caved in completely. Thank God no one was sleeping there!! That's enough for our first day. We went straight back to the ship on the first tender we could get. I had just had my first island adventure and I was thrilled. But, there was much more to come on this vacation!<br>
