... bus and paid the conductor chap our fare. Then as we set off we thought hang on a minute the conductor has changed?! Oh dear have we just given our money to joe blogs who is off having lunch on us?? It transpired that we hadn't paid the conductor of our bus, but a partially honest scamming scoundrel who'd charged us 5 times the fee, pocketed most of it and paid our fare with the remaining!! Good job we only paid him 50,000 rupiah ...
