    ... Some had marshmallows to toast. The kids loved that! Others had their kebabs on a metal skewer. They grilled in a jiffy and were pulled off into a loaf of bread. Fast food! We did wonder whether they would be tainted as there was a slight whiff of paraffin at the flame.

    ... gotten wine, I said I was ready to head back down. I wasn't sweaty. I tried to really *feel* the epic history of the flames, as I try to do when in ancient places. You guys, I don't really feel it. I respect the idea of it though, so that's good, right? On the way down the hill, the owner talked about how he'd been to Maachu Picchu and got so sick he had to stay in Cusco for three days.     Oh man. On the bus to Antalya, the woman next to be was viscous with sick. Her fluids seeped into me and I partook in a Turkish flu. Feverish, headache, coughing.     Spent our 2 days here relaxing on the cushions under the shade at Bayrams and swimming at the beach. A nice reprieve! The people were friendly, the free dinners delicious and the surroundings beautiful.

    ... half Lion and half goat with a snake tail (I think it was?) got a bit angry for some reason and spat fire and it's been there since! Call me a cynic but I'm gunna say chances are it's the volcanic gasses. Just sayin. I mean, lions don't even breathe fire...if it was a dragon, well then you might have had me! Next stop is Fethiye, could definitely have stayed longer in Olympos, but hey there's places to go and we new to be in the Greek islands by next week so I guess I'll pop back one ...
