... I can just walk around, get a bit lost but never too lost as I have a map! Anyway, I landed in Jakarta on the second day of Eid. I'm not quite sure whether this was a blessing or not. For one thing a lot of the city was possibly quieter than it normally would be, due to people going away to their families for Eid but on the flip side everything was closed!! ... little balcony at Marco's, unfortunately the down side of being so close to the beach was the noise from the bustling harbour, a hundred metres to our right- this is the main sea port from Bali to Lombok and the Gili Islands. The announcements and honking ship horns could be heard every few minutes but once we got used to them it was kind of nice and gave off an authentic vibe.

... been quiet, we don't tend to return to the house much before 8pm and after dinner it is too late for much activity out with the house.
