It made me nervous when I had to sign my name to a paper the clerk covered so I couldn't see it. Was this New York? Is that how they do things? Was I just a hayseed from Michigan? The next day Hugh made everything all right. He gave me a personal tour of the Meeting Chamber on the fourth floor. Keep Hugh employed at this hotel. He is outgoing and great with hayseeds.

There was a small military museum but we gave it a miss.
As we were driving along, I saw a sign to a waterfall, and wanted to investigate. Great name Taughannock Falls. Almost as good as some names in NZ eh! I really like the rock colours round it.

In just two weeks I'll be boarding a plane, beginning my trip to Italy. I'm not sure I have ever been this ecstatic--not even for my adventure in Costa Rica this past summer! There is something about Italy (I haven't quite decided: the language? Culture? History? Art? Food? Gelato? Perhaps it is all of these.) that enchants me. I just cannot help but LOVE that place, even though I have never been there. Costa Rica, on the other hand, was just exciting. It was ...
