It made me nervous when I had to sign my name to a paper the clerk covered so I couldn't see it. Was this New York? Is that how they do things? Was I just a hayseed from Michigan? The next day Hugh made everything all right. He gave me a personal tour of the Meeting Chamber on the fourth floor. Keep Hugh employed at this hotel. He is outgoing and great with hayseeds.

Idyllic in fact!
There was a small military museum but we gave it a miss.
As we were driving along, I saw a sign to a waterfall, and wanted to investigate. Great name Taughannock Falls. Almost as good as some names in NZ eh! I really like the rock colours round ...
... for a boat ride to Long Island, Maine. It was a wonderful day. Wednesday we were back in Fryeburg having a wonderful lunch with Bill and Barbara Lawrence. On the way home we stopped at Weston''s for strawberries and maple syrup.
