    Day 25

We were up at 6:30a.m. and left the hotel before 8:00a.m. We made it to Toledo by 5:00. We were in our driveway before 6:00p.m. after a trip to the grocery store. All animals are alive, well, and happy to see us! Now the fun part of cleaning out the car:(

Yes, we would leave tomorrow and do it all over again if we could! There were a few meltdowns along the way, but the laughter and experiences far exceeded the not-so-fun times.

On the highway we get 27 miles to the gallon with the 2010 Flex . . . even with all of the slow going . . . we still managed 26 mpg! Gas factors out to about $4.70 a gallon!

We traveled about five miles down this one road where there were only a handful of houses, but the numbers on the mailboxes were five numbers long. Odd, I thought. There aren't that many houses on the road. Must be a Michigan thing.

... drive mostly unconscious for the better part of the morning. We stopped in Albert Lea, MN for lunch at Arby's and then a DQ stop. More sleeping commenced as we went through Iowa. Lots of boring miles.

We decided to stop in Peru, IL for dinner at a diner we found on Urban Spoon. Peru, IL is a town that doesn't have a whole bunch of anything going on. Rob decided to sleep in the RV while we went in and ate. The waitress ...

    Where Am I ?

I know I'm in Petersburg, Monroe County, Michigan. It is about 25 miles to Toledo, Ohio, 32 miles to Ann Arbor, MI and 63 miles to Detroit, Michigan, so we aren't far from several major cities, but it feels like we've been put down smack in the middle of acres upon acres of corn fields under ...
