A lovely sunny day - so what do we do on our day off? Washing! An unusual arrangement at this Swedish campsite. The laundry room is kept locked. To use it you have to book at reception and 'rent' the room and machines for 50 NOK ( about ...

          ... very BORING!
So we decide to cut our losses and duck back into Norway, stopping at a very convenient ACSI campsite by a lake in Sweden, on the way.

Some of these dated back to the 1920's and had ...

... bus ticketing system is interesting. When we asked for a return ticket, we were advised that they didn’t actually exist BUT we could travel with our ticket for two hours and as there was a bus coming back just inside the two hour deadline, we effectively had a return ticket, 2 of for 100SEK. We also learned from our new friend that he only paid 36SEK for his ticket as opposed to our 50 each – the reason being that apparently they are ...

The guest berths were hard to spot and initially, we tried to tie up on the outside of non-guest pontoons but we were directed further in, to the shallows, where there was a nicely finished wooden jetty for us – but with 0 water under the keel, hopefully it was only mud that we ploughed through. Before tying up, we made use of the fuel station nearby, filling up completely, just as we did last time – this enabled ...
