    ... surfers, but I would not have liked being out in a small boat fishing! The weather picked up over the bank holiday weekend - it's a holiday in France too.     ... the World Cribbage Championship (we won!)
    Also we found out that politics is the same in Canada and UK in terms of taxation, housing etc, etc, so no shocks there.
    We think this is a centre for winter sports in the, er, winter but it is a nice city to visit in the spring too, except that on the day we chose, after the 24hr rain spell, it was quite cold needing our coats (not allowed on this trip but thank goodness we showed True Brit and came prepared!)

    I spent only a few days in my family in the Alps, but it was absolutely fabulous!
    When family and really good friends meet after not seeing each other for years, it feels so natural, like nothing has changed, we are just together, now, period.
    So, I did enjoy our time together, then, period. No Internet, no phone, no pictures. It was our time together and we loved every minute of it.
