Transition from Tourist to Tour Guide

A travel blog entry by haleycheetham

... I was back in elementary school and they had signed up to be our chaperones for the day. They explored even more ruins by finally making it to Pompeii on Saturday. I unfortunately couldn’t make it with them on this trip as I was battling a cold all week and desperately needed some time to sleep. We set ...

You see the structure of the lava flows. We meet some mushroom collectors. I collect some Vesuvuis gravel I plan to make art with back home. Heavy stuff - I guess it contains quite some share of iron.

... or drank) so healthily or even so sparingly. While all of the food has been great, I find myself eating less and less as it is just more satisfying. Such a good feeling. If you are around, I look forward to cooking for everyone and sharing all that I learned here in southern Italy. What a joy my time in San Lazzaro has been! Next time I write it will most likely be from Florence. One week from tomorrow, I fly back to the states. Ciao for ...
