    ... in the early 19th century and it is a wonderful example of medieval castle building. Kathy and I explored the place, it isn’t in ruins; but it is a bit over grown. There is a great Lion of Saint Mark, the patron saint of Venice, above one of the doors. I use to wear that patch on my uniform when I lived in Italy.

    ... Not really. Anyway, we got to familiar Piraeus and began asking around for this tiny little boat, which no one seemed to know existed. It was awesome. Eventually we were told to ask the port police who kindly reassured that we were indeed off our rockers. Such a boat didn't exist on Sundays. Silly us! Looking back on this, Mike and I should have realized that the boat wasn't the only thing non-existant in Salamina on Sundays... Oh, well.
