The lake was a beautiful blue in the sunlight, but when we got to the Aire it had a barrier. The procedure to get in was new to us. Apparently you have to have a French club card which is preloaded and opens the barrier. If you don't have one you have to ring a number with your credit ...

Wonderful to return. The Ardeche Gorge is magnificent, the colours, the light, the amazing views from the road along the top, which David took in his stride driving along (lots of 100 metre sheer drops) whilst I gripped the seat in despair. Conciously I knew the road was a great one, smooth, wide, well marked and with great stopping points ...
... but I felt like I was being spied on, so I looked up and there was a teenage cat on a second story window sill!!! Ba and I were so happy seeing so many cats and getting some quality petting.
We had to be back on the boat at 1100, and we sailed through the deepest lock on our trip, I have pics stuck on my cel. Anyway, a small boat got to join us, the water level dropped ~75 ...
... for our own answers in our own way. And this is ok, in fact, I think this is how it is supposed to be.
