Travelled to Uzes to the market on Wednesday. Found a little cafe with fine China crockery so stopped for cake and espresso. Also met Jeanine, a very friendly French lady who sat with us over coffee. After we told her we were shopping for our dinner cook up she swept us around the market for the best bargains. We even ate 2 freshly shucked oysters each (50c each) while on the run. Jeanine invited us back to her home ...
We are enjoying every minute staying in this village. Our house is superb, close to the l'industrie which we have frequented meeting many locals. We have had three days travelling around the district visiting other small villages including Luedan and Ales. The photos tell the story. Only four days of my trip to go and I leave Chris! We have visited: the Pont du Gard an aqueduct which ...

Have a look at the photo of the cat! He performed for us on his ...

We did have a break for an exquisite lunch of duck la pain, lamb with mushroom sauce and a decadent sweet of ice cream and smooth meringue between pastries!! No wonder we fully relaxed to a fish dinner at home on our return! We met a most delightful French lady called Odette who is 78 and was visiting the spa ...
