... had organised a 4 hour tour with Dubai Private Tours. We were met by our guide Sameh who was a native of the Arab Emirates and was appropriately dressed in flowing white robes. The 18,000 all seater stadium is home to Al Ahli FC. This, literally translating to "national" in Arabic. The team was established as late as 1970, when three local teams joined together to form the club. The club won three UAE League titles in the '70s and won its fourth in 2006, and fifth in 2009.

... passport. There is usually never a queue for EU citizens as all the officer does is check your identity rather than check your arrival date into the EU and then stamp your passport showing you have left the EU.
The office that checked my passport spoke to me in Hungarian, and when he did not get an answer he asked me in English as to where I was going. I told him Dubai, to which he said in a rather nasty tone why don’t I speak Hungarian. Just what ...

Back across the creek for a late lunch, and then, bravely, we thought, we took the metro back towards the hotel. From the metro station we walked through GH the Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world, and took in the giant aquarium on the way.
