... hired a motor scooter now to get around town. I'll go back to the marina tomorrow to look at another boat.

The area is quite different to I imagined; not that I can think now what I imagined. The first thing that struck me driving in the bus from the Dalaman airport to Marmaris, is how quiet it is (especially after Asia). The towns, roads etc. were empty of people. The countryside is ...

Streamed the radio broadcast, much to the disgust of the German soccer fans. And NZ meted out bitter revenge in the ******** ...

The island of Rhodes is another big tourist attraction with many beach resorts and hotels. I was told tourist season has another 2 weeks and then everything closes. The weather has been great, sunny in the mid 20's. This is a good time of year to go, perhaps not as crowded and not as hot.

We went to the village of Lindos a typical island village with whitewashed houses and narrow winding ...

... and the game player threw Velcro balls at the dart board with the highest accumulation of points using 3 balls declared the winner. There were certainly no shortage of volunteers and the queue at one point was almost as big as the line for the Basilica San Marco (minus the ‘nuns’ on tour!!!) I will post some photos of the entertainments team in action before the end of this trip. They all wear the most outlandish, garish, brightly colourful costumes ...
