Once we landed, it took forever to get through passport control, but once I was through I collected my bag almost immediately and made my way through to arrivals. I saw mum, gave her a big hug and started to cry! It was so good to see her and I was happy to be home, despite leaving all the adventure ...
... into that what you will! We had lunch at a little pub in the village (goats cheese and caramelised onion tarts with salad and chips) and then strolled across to the Abbey. The bottom half of the abbey is medieval but the top is Tudor. Until recently, an old lady (by the enchanting name of Petronella) lived in the top half. She's now gone so the whole Abbey, top and bottom, is open for public viewing and what an amazing place it is. The volunteers, who man (or women!) ...
Ok, so as usual we have left everything until the last minute! We are cleaning, tidying emptying the fridge and washing clothes that we need to pack tonight!

Stonehenge was not far away and we were there around 9.45. Quite interesting in a way and because we are quite familiar with it. You can only go right up to the stones on a sunrise or sunset tour. Apart from that they keep you at a distance. Mega people about.m Afterward we went for a bit of a walk to stretch our legs around some burrows which are basically burial mounds. Then we got back to the car and onto Bath. We did a bit of cross country driving ie. off the man roads ...
