Shrewsbury itself held a few gems too. Around the narrow streets of the old town, you wander through streets lined with 17th & 18th century Tudor houses. They have integrated the newer shops on the ground level, but the original Tudor wooden buildings are still protected and intact. This is a lovely city to wander around and well worth a visit.

We were told that there are two counties in England with no Motorway running through any part of it – and Dorset is one of those counties. There are only 2 dual carriageways (four-lane roads) in the county. I think we can verify these statistics, as we spent most of today meandering through Dorset on very little – dare I say- TINY roads!
