Barcelona to Madrid is about 3 hours by high speed train or about 5 hours by the toll highway . While researching options, we came across a travel blog that suggested a longer trip that takes you off the beaten path. It was so worth it. We stopped at many little towns along the way. Since it was Sunday the stores were closed and it was so neat to see ...

    Gypsies and Accordion players

... Cher's retreat from the stage, to allow her to collapse into a wheel chair and have her dentures removed by a flunky, before she swallowed and choked on them. We also walked through the monastery. It had interesting ...

Back to Barcelona and off the Epic. I love cruising but was actually quite glad to get off this one and back to reality. Long, long bus trip (around eight hours) to San Sebastian. Sore bum and swollen ankles. Had to change buses in Zaragoza. Couldn't find correct bus stand as the electronic timetable display thing didn't seem to include my destination or the time I had printed on my ticket. Being a Sunday there was no staff around except for one witch of a woman ...

    Only me

... Sound Mr Beggar man. So I got on the bus wondering what I was going to do and to be honest I was in a bit of a fluster. The couple sitting beside me spoke english and were good enough to let me use their phone to send an international text to Dad to let him know I was ok. That's one thing I have to say: everyone here has been really helpful and did their best to help me. Anyway I could still feel my phone buzzing when ever I got a text but I couldn't see ...
