Missed direct train so caught local train with change at other Genoa stn. Bit difficult to work out the system but got there in the end. Train runs beside Med. Would be spectacular on a ...

... like a local at Centrale. 1 hour wait fro train to Genoa- an Intercity route costs 20€ for what suppose to be 90 min trip. Took over 2 hours. (Back to Jack Reacher novel, which I have not opened since the appalling bus ride! May have to start at the beginning). Paul returns from the pool and spa and discovers I have sent of the smalls to be washed. He is horrified! Did you read the prices? Nope, just shoved in bag and called for pick up, why? €5.50 ($7.50) for a pair of ...

... hamlet — three slightly ramshackle houses, a Benedictine abbey, its church and a 16th-century watchtower, all on the shimmering coast of Liguria. I would recommend a visit here for the morning, great to see but not to stay in my opinion although there is the option, served by the Ristorante da Giovanni and its seven eccentrically styled bedrooms.

The Abbey of San Fruttuoso of Capodimonte makes for stunning views as it faces the luminous ...
