So, let’s look at some maps, compliments of Google. If we zoom in we see a sheltered harbour with breakwaters, so I guess that means boats, and shoreline waves & winds.

We set out from Tirano this morning to head south. The plan was to get to Genoa or Savona - but we had to tackle the Autostrada through Milan first. Sorry to say, no photo's today. ... we headed to Portofino, it is only 5km's around the coast but it still takes 15 minutes to get there. I now know why campervans are not allowed. They are the narrowest roads for a 2 lane road I have ever seen, each time we headed towards a bend in the road the bus driver would sit on his horn to warn traffic that we were coming, a few times the cars had to stop and reverse back so we could get through. A very interesting ride to say the least ...

... views to the mountains. We are staying in Nooshs, mums house which is a converted barn and so quaint and absolutely beautiful. Today we headed into Cortemilia for lunch in an authentic Italian cafe with great rustic Italian food. Spaghetti Bol and vanilla bean gelato for dessert. Ummm sorry Ben and Jerry's but I am now converted to Italian Gelato, absolutely yummy. So excited for the next part of our ...
