Our first full day in Cuba. We begin with a trip to the Front Desk to see if they have a new room for us. The elevator is still broken and no repair in site. We are told "Come back again tomorrow"! What can we do, this is Cuba and Cuban time. We find the restuarant and experience our first Cuban meal.

i loved this resort....at times the shower was barely warm, the food was bland and it was a bit cold and windy....but what a beautiful resort, huge! and the country and cities are beautiful...the beach was quiet and the pools were not packed...it was a great place to relax and take in the cities....very touristy and safe....you could safely backpack the country if you are from canada....they are a very friendly and helpful country.

... food was probably the worst I have ever eaten, the buffet at our hotel was re-cycled everday, some of the same dishes were there for one whole week, they didn't even try to hide it by putting the food on smaller platter's, they would just get emptier everyday, Coffee was very bad and looked like mud. January was too cold, so we ended up swimming in the pool most of the time instead of the beach I wouldn't go back to Cuba unless I got a great deal

Nothing much needs to b said about resortland. We stayed in a decent hotel on an all inclusive basis. The food was okay and the only thing worh mentioning was the fact that Maria had some kind of reaction in her eye to some chemical either in the pool or from the sunscreen and had to o see the doctor. One of them had remarked that he had been to Australia, and so I would be forgiven for rating the spot as "average at best". I told him it may rate higher if you didn't have to dodge blocks of limestone in the water, had hot chicks, didn't rely on cyclones for waves, and possibly culled a few thousand tourists.
