Kantor Imigrasi, Presentation, and too much Food!

... the first ASEAN question, the rest of the questions all revolved around ASEAN. Pak Dave made sure that at least half of the 20 students gathered asked questions. Many looked irritated or bored out of their minds - some looked utterly confused at what I was talking about. I had come with a clear objective in mind: a broad and open discussion about improving cross-border relations amongst Southeast Asian nations, aided by the use of informal networks. I had suggested that ...

... for the cards that I had created from my computer.

I enjoyed the drive out to the boat, waiting at the mouth of a small river northeast of Manado. Alwin was waiting for us there in a small boat that I had not seen before at Lorenzo's. It's good though – I REALLY needed to go running anyway, and I feel pretty great now for having done so. At the track I ran in to Heri, the boxing coach with the Mossad and America tattoos on his neck. He knows that I’m American, and he’s pretty sure he figured out my line of work, so ...

... to the new little one (I don't know his name, but I know he weighed 2.7 Kg (about 5.9 lbs) and is doing well. We think they’ll be home tomorrow.

Bapak was interested in my new lens, so we tried it out on a few pics – he’s convinced it’s way to heavy, but sees the utility in it. He had suggested we share some beers with Bapak and a few of the other neighbors, which we did. Max and I talked for awhile about his love ...
