A twenty five year overview from north to south.
The epic thing about New Zealand is that it houses all scenic extremes; from baron lands, to snow, glistening black beaches, fiords, grand mountain ranges, rain forests, beautiful rivers, and lakes. From top to bottom, you can explore for yourself and you will never see everything. The north is just as beautiful as the south. The south more grand and bold in your face.

So many places we have been it has been difficult to wander about at length because it has been so hot. ... we needed to walk it off again. My long time dream of finding Shortland Street was realised. We have spent the day exploring what Auckland has to offer but the highlight was a cheeky little Gelato bar called "Giapo". OMG :). This was lunch followed by more walking - we needed it. Still deciding on a dinner location tonight but I know one thing - we will be taking and coming home on the 50 cent bus :). Tomorrow we head further south to Rotorua - thermal pools are calling !! ... small!! Christchurch was a real eye opener, it is pretty much a ghost town, as even 4 years after the earthquake there is still massive reconstruction going on. They have a square called restart,Nakhichevan is all shops in containers, it was pretty funky, but really quite devastating. 180 lives were lost in the earthquake. On the positive the roads were really fun to drive on. Finally found some lunch and headed to the beach to eat it..that was short lived, the sun was baking but ...
