I Found Magic in Alishan
... fields, waterfalls, and mountains are indescribable. ""Everything is so green and beautiful(piao liang)!" I think these are the words that came out of my mouth maybe 100 times on our 2 hour ride up to where we would stay the night. Once we arrived we started walking down the main street and stopped at a few temples and lantern shops. We continued walking through a market and ventured down "'breast touching lane" which is a famous, very small ally in Lukang. We had some shaved ice and BBQed squid in the afternoon and then hopped back on a bus back to Taichung. It was a lovely Saturday afternoon getaway:)

On top of Mount Alishan
... back to the hotel and decided to get a few snacks. Taiwanese sausages and chicken wings again? Yes! The guy recognized us and immediately bagged the last two sausages he had left. He told us that he would "see you tomorrow!" and we left. I guess he is not familiar with our schedule. Tomorrow, we will be in Tainan. Back to the hotel afterward and we booked a free ride to the train station. We had done enough for the day...bed time for us.

Only week 3 in Taiwan and each week seems more amazing than the last. I actually had a hard week at school this week. I tried to take into account everything that our advisor had said about teaching, and many of his suggestions just were not working for my class. I was struggling, but was unsure if I should just push through or make some changes. I wish I would have stuck to my instincts because I should have just done ...
