... is also the best spot for photos of the waterfalls. I initially thought that I might try the hike, but it was described as being over uneven and muddy terrain, so I finally decided that my back and legs would have a much needed rest tomorrow (my lower legs are a bit swollen again tonight). We had a leisurely start to our day, partially as Diana the owner of the apartments we rented was on for a long chat about Croatia, Zadar and children (she was about to have her 5th after the last being a set of twins). A friendly, serene woman who obviously could multi task with exceptional skill. ... we all got a fill of seafood, something we haven’t been getting a
lot of since Greece! We then headed back to the hotel for a semi-early night as

Cold and with wet socks (neither of us brought shoes, we just brought Keen sandals, which we both highly recommend), we bid goodbye to Plitvice and made it back to the car. A short car ride later and we were back at the guesthouse, and not much long after we both took a well-earned hot shower.
