    ... up camp we took our bikes for a short ride down to the dyke to look at the sea. The sea is very flat and very shallow. The rocks were covered in small mussels and close to the harbor there were oyster beds with huge oysters. The area is a holiday destination and is fantastic for sailing, kite boarding, cycling, bird watching and hiking.

    And so back to camp for a braai with cold drinks.

    Fantastic, at last we wake up to sunshine. A quick breakfast, some office work and off on an expedition to somewhere. I say somewhere since navigating this area is difficult.     In the morning we were greeted with overcast and coldish weather but decided to be positive and put on a T shirt and a light jacket and tempt the weather to do its worst. This ploy appeared to work for as we set off on our bikes for a long tour of the Friesan countryside, the sun began to poke its way through the clouds.

    Today we woke up to the sound of a screaming Northerly wind,
    so cold that it must have originated at the North Pole, and with it came an icy
    rain. We had a light breakfast and hung around hoping that the weather might
