... the river Serpis so possible sightings of Kingfishers, Egrets etc. Bring a small torch if you have one as route takes us through two or three tunnels.

Of course after each walk we stop for a cold beverage to talk and get to know one another a little better. Walking and talking, a great way to make friends!

We left Florida and automobile ownership behind a few months ago. We have never wanted to own a car in Sweden, their public transportation system is excellent and we are able to travel with little difficulty. On the rare occasion when we need a car Lotta or Lennart have been kind enough to loan us the use of one of theirs. ... a bit, but finally we were on our way.

It's always a happy moment when we turn the key in the lock and see our sun-filled apartment with that lovely view of the sea. Our home for the coming winter months!

It didn't take us long to get settled. And to our delight, shortly after our arrival Vincent, Alexia and Madlyn came by to give us a warm hello....and a few minutes later Marie appeared to make their welcome complete!

... with new doctors, dentists and hairdressers and trying all the different cafes, restaurants and tapas bars - that will take a while and then there are all the surrounding towns, countryside and coast - should keep them busy for another 9 years! Albatera is in a lovely location, about 30 minutes inland, caught between the mountains and the sea. Their "hacienda" is out of town, towards the mountains; their neighbours are orange growers ...

... really use a family crest on the Rehmann side so we hashed out a few idea and I think some how we will need to ensure the crest includes a happy black dog face, and angry brown dog face and a big white van right in the middle of everything :). I don't usually talk about apartments we stay in unless they are really something special...like the famous Athens Electrocution Warning Shitshack or the quaint ...
