... we went to see and in Altea there was a beautiful rocky beach where Cristina and I had a really good heart to heart about our lives. Hehe, so corny but it was really good. I <3 her mucho!~! I love good listeners since I'm such a big talker, tehe, but I love talkers too, which thank goodness both Elizabeth and Cristina are!~!
And hollaback at that anchor!~! DG love!~! o--+--)
... I wish my friends could be here with me. I know they would love this place. I wish they could visit. But all in all, I know that I have to do this on my own, though I'm lucky to have found such a great friend and companion in Elizabeth.
I hope that Alicante becomes someplace that I treasure forever. And more so that I learn Spanish and that it shows me that I can do something great, be something great, and be me. At my best.
... we had met and said our goodbyes. A sad moment but hopefully this was the beginning of many more cool moments. well, unfortunately they would not happen this day because shortly after we left i got a puncture, then we got kicked out of an abandoned house we treid to sleep in and had to settle for a dead lemon grove. Well at least we could have a hot meal. or so we thought until we realised that the fuel we ...
Orihuela, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01So Alex had to go back to the consulate in the morning and being true friends me and Olly decided to join him. In the Brittish consulate you basically have about 15 people at any time who have had their passports robbed. During our short stay we spoke to a few fellow British people around us. A particularily funny convosation started with an old british man who was keen to share his words of wisdom, unfortunately, he was not even slightly wise. He started the ...
Alacante, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01So, day 2 in Alacant. Had to start off by finding the British consulate so Alex can get a new passport. After a pretty standard day we bought some cheap Sangria and food which we cooked in the courtyard of the hostel. Thats right 7 euros a night and it has an f-in courtyard. We cooked food, drank and ate with a few of the German dudes whilst the rest of the guys where lost in the city. After ...
Alacante, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01... usual and fell asleep in a wierd location (motorway traffic Island) as usual. Then, as usual, whilst going to the toilet a big animal started rustling around in a bush next to me. I nonchalently threw a massive rock in there to freak it out.
Then we soundly fell asleep to the sound of heavy traffic a few meters away.
Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands nuffie... We walked to the beach down "La Rambla", a main street sharing the same name as Barcelona's most famous drag. It definitely wasn't as nice as Barcelona's, but was still a nice place to stroll. The beach was very crowded with grainy sand. The water felt great ... aside from Valencia, we may not have any chances to swim in the sea as the Baltics will be a little chilly by the time we get there. We dried off and hiked to the ...
