... pub. We also celebrated Annie's birthday a tad early, with an excellent cake baked special for us by our local Manorbier Castle tea shop.

Manorbier is one of the few places I fully relax on vacation. While there were places we could have gone to see (many more than we actually got to), I've not felt the same kind of itch as I would have had we been in one of the AirB&B apartments, let alone a hotel room. Three Cliffs Bay – lots of holidaymakers on the path going to and from the beach, especially a group of kids who, in their adorable British accents, were constantly asking each other, "Do want to go on an adventure?" Everything would be an adventure, because when we asked them for directions, they had no idea where they were or how to ...

... and some signs have to be enormous! I can't begin to guess how to pronounce some of the words, many of which appear to be completely lacking vowels.
We found Wales's only whisky distillery at Penderyn, and Charlie just had to have a tasting, declaring the madeira single malt 'smooth and delicious'. A bottle has found its way into the motorhome, along with a bottle of 'Merlyn' Welsh ...
