... when we returned to the ship we learned that we do not have enough water in the Danube to continue on our Bestla ship...we have to switch ships on Sunday and get on the Eistla, which is our original ship that couldn't make it to Budapest to pick us up...oh, well...what can you do...we just have to pack and the other ship is the same, unfortunately we have all new staff.
... the bus ride was over two hours each way, it was well worth because of the scenery. We travelled through a hugely forested hills called the Bohemian Forest in Czech and the Bavarian Forest in Germany. It was foggy on the river but as we climbed up into the hills we went above the fog. What a view with the sun shining brightly, the forested hills and fog in the valleys. Sorry no pictures because the bus didn't stop but it was an experience. We also saw the largest lake ...
... and our leisure time walk around town again, we were advised that the water levels upstream are still too low (have been for months due to a dry summer) and we are therefore going to be bused to Nuremberg on Saturday and back to our original ship the Bragi. We won't miss anything they tell us but will need to do an extra pack and unpack. An inconvenience but we are told that it is rather seamless.

... church, we spent the afternoon walking the city streets. It was cold and slightly wet, so we were happy to board the ship this afternoon. A hot chocolate was in order. After I finish this entry, a nap is next. I hope you all like the pics. Sorry, I'm not writing much. Its amazing how tired one can get walking around for just a few hours.

Last night, we packed our suitcases in anticipation of the transfer. The effort was handled incredibly efficiently by Viking. While we were on the bus tour to Regensburg, our luggage was removed from the Tor and delivered to the identical stateroom on the Var.
