Gostilna Jelen Ljubljana

Hi everyone! When I last wrote we were heading to Ljubljana. Well, we got there safe and sound after a gorgeous train ride through mountains and snow. We had no idea the train would be going through mountains at all so when the scenery starting changing so drastically, we just glued our heads to the window and watched as we went higher and higher. Pag to Ljubljana, Slovenia. We head offat 7:15 sharp to catch the ferry back to the mainland. ... it and got the first train to Bled. We tried to make up for our lack of sleep on this more peaceful train trip, but it was hard not to stay awake and admire the scenery. When we arrived at Lake Bled, we trekked around the whole lake looking for the camping ground. ... and then rented a bike and rode around the lake. My bike ride ended up being a bit too long and I had to run up to the hostel, grab my bag and run to the bus station to catch the bus to Kranj where I could catch another bus to Skofja Loka. Arrived at the final bus station and figured it was time for an ice cream while I wait. Katja came and we went to a café where she said I had to try the Slovenian custard/cream cake. Good stuff ...

... Jolting sun, snow white pastures, and rocky mountains right in front of our face. Loved it! I couldnt stop taking pictures... hopefully a few turned out okay! There were tons of small mountain towns every so often... I think many of them ski resort type towns.
