... ll wait and see.

A drive through the Julian Alps down the Soča river valley would be fun. We loved getting out into the river and being amazed that a WWI battle front was fought in this little valley. It was the front where Ernest Hemingway was a ambulance driver in WWI. In 1926 he used this as the setting for his novel "A Farewell to Arms." There were between 500,000 and 1,000,000 casualties in this little valley as ...

... there and able to experience such an amazing thing! The last two wires were very similar, but slightly slower, so allowed more time to take in the views, whilst flying through the air feeling once again, on top of the world. At the end of this, and after the short hike back down to the jeep to take us back down the mountain, we met Luka and then went to pick up the group who had been rafting. The drive home was fun, along windy mountain roads, some very narrow, ...

... it dazzles me. The impressive thing about this waterfall is that you can walk behind it; on a sandy path covered by the rock shelter. It cascades down like the water is floating than thunders to it's final descent at the base of the fall. I swear I stare at it from every angle; I just can't stop looking at it, the flow and sound of the water has me enthralled; also the feeling of the fall's spray on my face and arms. It's refreshing and makes me want to dance and I am ...

... is the spectacular scenery.
I stopped at the Rhone Glacier which has significantly retreading in the past 50 years and will one day disappear completely.

The "Naturhotel Taleu" where I stayed was about 6 km off the highway in the mountains. Looking at the rain through the window the next morning, I felt like staying there, but the forecast was for more rain. I figured out that with the number of tunnels I was going to ...
