Well it's Australia Day today as we begin our journey home via a couple of days thawing out in Kuala Lumpur. We have had another amazing time in Japan with 12 snowboarding days all up and several sightseeing days at the beginning of it. We enjoyed some great powder days with two major dumps of snow at the beginning of our stay at Nozawa and the beginning of our stay at Hakuba. Apparently it's the biggest season they have had in years where 9 meters of snow has already ...

... at Norikura, the day before's destination. We experienced a huge variety of weather from sun exposed heat with the bluest skies I think I have ever seen, to blowing ridge winds to dense fog. It is beautiful terrain of volcanic ridges and golden birch trees. And fabulous deep snow, usually thigh high. Wow, epic day. Day three started from the cabin located on a cliff above Happo ski area. Happo is the biggest of all resorts and we took the gondola and two lifts as high ...

... to the hospital around 6 for the night shift and I came back to the kids. We went out to a Korean restaurant for dinner that was very funky. You places your order into a computer at your table and then BBQ your own meat at the table. So I guess you could say that I cooked dinner ...
