    I've mentioned this in an earlier post, but the transportation infrastructure in Japan is superb! This morning we had to catch a bus to get to the train station. Of course it was exactly on time. It was a regular city bus so nothing special in that way but what is interesting is the payment method. We had a pass for three days that allowed us to show it when we got on and then when we got off so we didn't have to pay each time. For those people who wanted just a single ticket, ...

    We both had quite a broken nights sleep, it was probably because it was two single beds pushed together rather than a double. It probably didn't help that we were in our room from 7pm. We got some bread and butter at the supermarket the day before so headed down to the kitchen to make ourselves some marmite on toast to start the day. We also got a couple teas from the vending machine which were so full of sugar we could barely finish them.

    ... say that when you travel it's the strange, most unexpected things that you miss and apparently this is one of them. Are hostel was a 20 minute walk away and it was raining so we jumped in a taxi. This driver made some great noises trying to lift the cases, bless him.
