We thought this would be great because he could get us from south gate instead of walking 30 minutes or so to main gate.     ... to avoid the Old City of Hyderabad and keep away from the U.S. Embassy. The Old City is where Charminar and Golconda Fort are located in which I traveled to in July. The Old City of Hyderabad has a high Muslim population and may react negatively towards American tourists. Until the unrest comes to an end, we are advised to travel in groups (which I do anyways) and travel with taxi's instead of rickshaws.
