Sonia and I landed in Hyderabad around 2:00 pm, uneventful flight. Free shuttle to the Novatel hotel. Very nice, modern hotel. Sonia was glad to be there and knowing we were that much closer to being back home. Asha arrived just about an hour after we checked in so the timing was perfect. ... was already starting to get a little bit late (about 8:30 pm) and we knew we wouldn't get there until about 1 am, so we tried to make ourselves comfortable. Coach style buses in India all look like they are supposed to be party buses from the 80's. It's strange but the front of the bus is all decked out in colored flickering lights, and the inside is always upholstered in neon geometric shapes and paint splashes, but other than that they're comfortable.

Actually, I'll even be as bold as to say that in my observation, the percentage of people with this facade of peace and understanding drops exponentially as their wealth increases. The happiest people I've seen ...
