    First official day of our Geckos tour. Met with Ting Ting at 7.30 for dim sum breakfast. She took us to a restaurant that is famous for its dim sum a couple of streets away from our hotel.     ... Hot pot is basically the Chinese version of a buffet, which I quickly realized when plate after plate after plate was brought to our table. We were then able to place whichever raw food we desired into the boiling pot. We did this with beef, fish balls, crawfish, vegetables, and even a jello-like substance that Chung claimed was pig's blood (and yes I did try it).
