... tree. I had found a death certificate for my great-grandmother from 1917, but Roger told me how his dad had told him how he used to catch the train with her to Bradford. She could not read, so he would go along to read the signs. But he wasn't born until 1917, so if that story was true, she couldn't have died in 1917. I did some digging later that day and found her will from 1930, so the Maria Fletcher I had the death certificate for was a different one. So I was able ...
... bike works and what track on the mountain we were taking. After the training I got given my bike and helmet and the group set off down the hill. Five minutes into the ride we stopped to take in the views of the woods and animals. I am now enjoying being a lady of leisure for a few weeks until we leave Whistler in mid May! It’s been good to properly wind down after such ...
... the child-like grin on my face was testament to my new found love for the virgin snow! Powder, for those who don’t know, is fresh snow, un-skied upon, and un-bashed (not run over by the snow cat). The deeper the snow the better…well to a point! Today the powder was fresh and a great depth, just above the bottom of my boots (see photos) so my ski tips were still visible and I could maintain a decent pace and not grind to a halt every five meters.
