Missed it.
... and talked as if we had known each other for years.... A very special bond was created in a couple of minutes. Thank you to family and friends for your warm wishes on my birthday. Nikki The Schmittenhof Guest house in Zell Am See has been absolutely wonderful......the room we were given had the most amazing view of the valley to the village on the lake....breakfast was terrific....the people were warm and friendly and created a real family atmosphere....a wonderful stay with wonderful ...
Not The Top Of The World
... to take photos and yell "Look at this....it is soooooo beautiful".....Well thanks to MY determination and focus we made it to the village and got our supplies...which included a very nice Austrian apricot liquor.....we cooked a nice meal.....and fell exhausted into bed by 9 o'clock.....the days exertions had made us very tired.....it had nothing to do with the liquor.....we were safe and had survived the snow....maybe we should do a survival TV show. Bavaria and Tirol
What an interesting day we had today. The place we stayed last night was wonderful. They fed us a nice 5 course meal followed by authentic Tirolian dancers. I have a movie clip I will try to upload soon. Then this morning they treated us to a wonderful breakfast buffett and sent us on our way with full bellies.

Continuing on with the day, we drove back into Germany and parked the car at the base of the mountain hitler claimed for his eagles nest. The Eagles Nest was a gift to Hitler on his 50th birthday, but Hitler was claustrophobic and scared of heights, therefore he only visited the site about 14 times total.
