We found a lovely hostel in a small town a bit away from Santander, and spent today exploring it. There are some cool beaches and today we found an abandoned granary complex or something. We booked a hotel in Potes to explore the national park Picos de Europa. Such a beautiful range of mountains. Potes is on the eastern side. On our way there we stopped at Cangas de Onis to get some information on trails and the park. After that we first did a walk around the Lago de la Ercina and had lunch before we continued our route to Potes where we arrived late in the ...

... to pour and drink Sidra. Quite a talent that Ryan actually got okay with, spilling less and less every time ;)

While me and mom were outside relaxing in the shade, and drinking complimentary chamomile tea, I started talking to the cook, and she offered to make us some sandwiches to go for tomorrows breakfast. Only cost us a few bucks and she came through, very nice of her.

As always we made it down ...
